Fifty shades of green... Our trip through Iceland, day 10: Seydisfjordur, Gugufoss and cliff fracture kufossar
This day we started our trip from our cottage near Egilsstadir.
We rented a cabin here, a whole house to ourselves, with a view of Icelandic horses.
That sounds good, and it should be, but the energy in this house doesn't feel good.
First of all, we get a laundry list of rules around our ears (don't use too much internet, don't use too much water, keep things tidy, the vacuum cleaner in the room is “staff only” , there is virtually no toilet paper, and there is no answer to the question whether it can be supplemented (after asking a third time, yes). Then you will also be asked to pick up your bed when you leave. and that while paying a hefty price for the cabin. So we're not coming back here. I won't mention the cabin name, if you're going to that region and you want to make sure you don't end up here, just send me a private message.
And you just have to see that last waterfall with your own eyes, although I have to say it came across very well because of your photos.
Another fun blog!!
I imagine you were annoyed by those tourists at the waterfall.
And take off bed linen. that's what we actually always do when we rent a cottage or room. (Except in a hotel).) We put everything in a heap, along with all the towels, etc. We always received a thank you for the attention. Small effort. But we've never been asked.
