The second part of this day took us to Jökulsárlón via ring road 1: the great glacial lake.

The glacier lake lies at the end of the Vatnajökul glacier, Iceland's largest glacier.

It covers no less than 8% of the entire island.


Along the way, you often have a view of the huge glacier, and several side roads seem to lead you there, but you're really not getting to it.

fantastic weather! Have you ever seen any of those ice balls? that are rounded by the sea? I also think the ringing is great to hear.! Recently saw a trip, 5000 euro per person for 10 days. but wait until the four of us no longer go on vacation. Although, I would like to give this to my kids.
@ellesvandenbroek Most ice chunks are already somewhat rounded, which is why it is so dangerous to stand up, and also because they can drift very quickly towards the sea. 5000 euro per person for 10 days is ridiculous! We don't pay that for two and a half... Show more
