On our sixth day, it was time to leave Akureyri and continue to Husavik, whaling capital of Iceland.

Husavik is familiar territory for us, we have been there before on a round trip.

The distance between Akureyri and Husavik is not great (about 100 kilometers, to be covered in an hour and a half), but we did not intend to drive directly.


The route we drove is marked green on the map on the right, so we went south for a while, because we wanted to visit the Aldeyjarfoss.
