On the eighth day of our trip, we are still staying at Skogar Sunset Guesthouse, near Husavik, North Iceland.

In Husavik, you will find Gentle Giants, an organization that provides whale watching tours.

Three years ago, we did a whale watching trip with them, who liked it so much that we wanted to do again.

This time we chose a regular boat, and not a fast RIB boat, because of the cost, and to experience it differently.

Nice places again. It reminds me again of El Teide in Tenerife.
And those whaling tours, I know that. Have you ever done it in Gran Canaria to spot dolphins?. Vaguely seen one whale, not a single dolphin.
@enigma I don't know El Teide (yet), and of course you should be lucky with the whales, but this was just hunting together, and that didn't feel okay.

wow I'm just sitting breathlessly watching this. What a beautiful thing and those crater fields can't be described, just. Such a shame that I know this too late, everyone.
@marijke Thank you for your compliment and appreciation!! I wish you so much that you can go there sometime.

It looks like an oasis, that blue water! I also recognize the dragon. And the whales should be left alone!
Wow. breathtakingly beautiful that water and uh. lucky that there is no smell of the sulfur fumes in your blog yet. Technology is fun, but I don't need to add scent 😂
