Fifty shades of green... Our trip through Iceland day 9: Laugavellir
A different post than usual, it consists almost entirely of videos.
Laugavellir is a hotpot that we've been dying to visit.
This hotpot is located in the highlands of Iceland, and you have to drive quite a bit along a “washboard road” (video 1) to get there.
Because we came from Husavik, we also had to do a few river crossings (video 2).
Laugavellir is barely indicated until you're almost there. (you can find the route on google)
When you find the sign and follow the road, you will arrive at a small parking lot near a bridge, which you can only cross on foot.
From this bridge, you walk a large path that leads you to the changing area, which is a cross of four sections of fencing in the interior of Iceland: that offers enough privacy to change.
I can confidently say that this hotpot is the most beautiful and delicious I've been in my life to date!
40-degree water, straight from the waterfall: there is no better massage!
