“A teacher brought balloons to school and asked the kids to blow them up and then put their name on them. They threw the balloons into the hall as the teacher husked them. Then he gave the kids five minutes to find the balloon with their name on it. They ran around and looked frantically. But when time ran out, no one had found their own balloon.
Then they had to pick up the nearest balloon from the teacher and give it to the person whose name was on it. In less than two minutes, everyone had their own balloon.
Finally, the teacher said, “Balloons are like happiness. No one finds it if they only seek it for themselves. But when everyone invests in each other's happiness, they find their own happiness the fastest.”
