Five reasons why you don't or hardly lose weight
Let's get this hypothetical #slimming imagine scenario
You just started a #dieet and after two weeks you don't see any results you even go to the gym. You're even starting to seriously ask yourself questions about what you're doing wrong. You have limited yourself to certain healthy foods and want to see some progress. You want to quit because you're getting desperate. You still look up a lot of things and scour the global web in search of answers. Stop searching because maybe this blog can be a tool. Let's take a closer look at the most common mistakes that are made that make there are barely noticeable advances and that prevent you from losing weight.
1. Eating way too much and unhealthy
Probably the most common reason why the scales stay in the same place or even go up is that you eat way too much of certain foods. And then you think, yes, but I'm on a diet anyway and I've been keeping to the rules for a few weeks. So this is not possible. This is also a common pitfall where starters fall in. Even if you started eating 'healthier' and you stick to the rules, that doesn't mean you will lose weight at all. You need a calorie deficit to lose weight, otherwise it won't work. Just say or remember that this is the main reason. You probably have already made a lot of healthier food choices, but do you know how much you can actually eat from which you lose weight? If you don't know the amount and you stay guilty, you'll probably burn a lot less calories than you take. So no weight loss then.
2. Limit drinking alcohol
Alcohol is known for its delicate taste and smell, but alcohol actually has a lot of hidden calories. That's quite a lot, actually. This is called empty calories. A gram of ethanol has seven calories, yes you've read that right. Need more to be said about it?
3. High stress level
Way too much work, all kinds of chores, trying to meet deadlines. Yes, everything has its price and here it is about overloading your cortisol level. This overload does ensure that you can start experiencing difficulties, with the most important stress factor keep the focus in. What do you think for yourself what happens to your body when it is overloaded?
Even if you eat healthy food, exercise enough, overload still causes stress situations and your body will suffer. You don't see any progress and can even get a lot of other problems such as headache, overfatigue, loss of concentration, muscle cramps.
