The Flengeltje's have arrived!
At the beginning of the year I won a beautiful Flengeltje from @DiaantjesLife 🦋 and then @marijke asked that if she won, if hers could go to my daughter @Makayla.
For weeks on end @DiaantjesLife 🦋 and I wondered where they were, if they would ever reach us and even joked that they must be on an adventure through Africa somewhere.
This week I got a notice that I had to fetch a parcel at the post office and I had my fingers crossed that they were finally in Cape Town.
On arrival at the post office, the gentleman helping me told me that parcels were all so late due to covid and also with things waiting at customs. I was just so happy to received them and that all of @DiaantjesLife 🦋 effort and good intentions had not been wasted.
I opened them up in the car and was really touched by how delicate they are. My daughters and husband wanted to know how she managed to put something so tiny together like that.
"There is a video, you guys must watch it"
I will post the link to the video for any others that might be curious.
So thank you so very much ladies, we will treasure them forever.
It is also the first item we have in our home from the Netherlands and we have placed them between photos of my late father and other family picture on our fireplace mantel.
