No, prices are not automatically correct yet.
This afternoon (it was Monday afternoon 13:40) I was in the supermarket, in this case the Jumbo xl,
they have had digital price tags there for some time now.
Now I've been busy comparing prices in supermarkets
and, like many, know that the shelf tickets and the ticket office prices were not always the same.
They had to change these price tags manually on the shelves every day.
But to my surprise, I saw a €109 liverwurst on the shelves this morning.
I still thought, those are normal prices again, nice.
But at the checkout, I saw that €149 was sold. (what a difference huh)
Just to the service desk with it, I was really curious.
After it was checked and I got €150 back, she sighed, if only it were true, that it was all true.
“The changes have probably not been made yet”
So conclusion, still check your receipt after purchase.
Digital shelf cards or not, makes no difference.
