Feliz es la catedral

Porque la nueva barriada
Rodeando está iluminada
A la gran Chiquinquira
Santa bárbara también
Se encuentra regocijada
Y una nueva faz cambiada
La circunda por doquier

Ya se puede constatar
Que la basílica vive
De día el reflejo recibe
De su lago de cristal
Mientras que la catedral
Llena de luz y de historia
Representará en la gloria
Al viejo Zulia inmortal.
