Fun facts about animals
It's always a good trigger to start a lesson: telling fun facts about animals.
In the classroom I work regularly with 'Grej of the Day', in which you give a riddle with the kids.
The intention is for them to take that home, talk about it at home, and that their curiosity is awakened.
When they come up with their solution a few days later, a micro lesson will follow, in which they learn a little bit about the subject.
They are always full of attention, because they want to know if they have solved the riddle correctly.
That's how I had the other day: 'I spray my poo around.'
Just find out who does this.
You may put in the comments that you know, but if you want to let me know, put the solution in a private message so that the first one who replies is not a spoiler for the rest.
Other fun facts about animals:
Most birds can only move forward unless the wind helps a hand.
Grass blushes and herons can move backwards using wind.
However, there is one bird that can really fly backwards: the hummingbird.
It can also hang still and fly up perpendicular.
