Many consumers believe that fur trims on coats, hats, or gloves are made from byproducts or are collected in a humane way. The reality, however, is far more disturbing. Most fur comes from fur farms where animals like mink, foxes, raccoon dogs, and rabbits are confined in tiny, filthy cages. These animals suffer from stress, malnutrition, and self-mutilation before being brutally killed for their pelts.
