The term gas lighting comes from the film 'gaslight'.
In this, a man tries to indoctrinate his wife and her environment that his wife is crazy. The man dims the gas light and convinces his wife that she imagined the dimming of it.
The film is based on a play called angel street.
The term is known, but it does lead to ignoring this serious form of psychological abuse within the judiciary.
Both in cabinet hearings, as well as in the family court, narcissists turn a wheel in front of everyone. Judges are lawyers, not pedagogues or psychologists. One has no knowledge of it, with severe consequences for the prey and the joint children.
To convince someone without knowledge that there is serious abuse can be described as explaining to a blind person what blue color the sky has.
