Gingerbread Muesli: A Winter Treat for a Spicy Breakfast

Hi, I'm Evy van Evy's Cookery ! Today, I'm sharing a special recipe from my granola series that's perfect for the cold days: Gingerbread Muesli . This recipe brings the warm and spicy flavors of gingerbread to your breakfast table with a delicious blend of oat flakes, gingerbread spices, chopped nuts, and raisins. A healthy breakfast full of flavour, ideal for starting your day full of energy!

Kitchen supplies:

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and scoops
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Airtight storage jar or bin

Ingredients:

  • 300 g oat flakes
  • 2 teaspoons of gingerbread spices (such as cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and ginger)
  • 50 g chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts, or hazelnuts)
  • 50 g raisins

Preparation method:

  1. Mix dry ingredients : Combine the oat flakes, gingerbread spices and chopped nuts in a large mixing bowl. Use a wooden spoon to mix everything thoroughly.
  2. Add the raisins : Stir the raisins into the mixture and make sure they are evenly distributed.
  3. Save : Put the gingerbread granola in an airtight storage container and store it in a cool, dry place. This way, the granola stays fresh for a few weeks.
  4. Serve : Serve with milk, plant-based milk, or yoghurt and possibly add fresh fruit such as apple or pear for an extra taste experience.
