Google Search for home
I found this picture on Facebook. I'm a fan of Aunty Acid, she always has those lovely lyrics.
But how nice it would be if Google Search existed for home. That you type “where are the keys” or “where did the hubby hide the scissors” or “where did the children leave the pens” or “what did the washing machine do with the socks” in the search bar and that you will read where it is. That can save hours of searching.
Now I'm personally a 'lazy' seeker. If I can't find it like that, I shrug my shoulders and think to my own that it will come again. I seem to have had that since I was a child. My grandmother said that a few years ago that if I lost something as a girl, I just looked around and didn't like it and I said very stubbornly: 'will come again'. The crazy thing is, that works best for me. I don't like searching for hours, I think that's a waste of time. If I'm not looking for it, it's 9 times out of 10 that I suddenly see it lying around. It must be very important that I look in every nook and cranny.
Personally, it's often about things that I need, but not really urgent, like a pen that I've lost, so I feel free to pick up another pen. Or a pair of scissors that my hubby has hidden, then I'll grab another pair of scissors. In general, I have the most important stuff like keys, smartphone, etc. lie in a fixed place and hubby doesn't get there either.
The only thing that really disappears without a trace for me in an inexplicable way are socks. We wash the socks and when I go to fold the laundry, there are always a few socks apart. Now that seems to be a very normal thing for people who do laundry. Still, it's still weird every week. Fortunately, I also bring a different pair back together almost every week. Then the spouses are fine for another week until they have to get back together in the washing machine and then another one is missing.
For the rest, it's not that bad, luckily. I usually know where everything is.

Lol, yes, those socks. Tip: roll them up together, fold the edge around the plug., The ones in the wash, then they stay together. Of course, dry separately. Keys are often in the craziest places, huh? Here I hang them in a key box. Mostly then.
