GROLLOO BLUES

Ten years ago, September 26, 2011, Harry Muskee died. That was a blow to the Nederblues, for his family and friends and that date is now commemorated, in 2021, by the release of a double album under the name Grolloo Blues.

Even though you have nothing to do with the kind of music that we put under the heading 'Blues', even though you haven't been very well aware in the last fifty years when music from Drenthe has flourished, even though you think Cuby +Blizzards is outdated, even though you don't know that songs like 'Just for fun', Window of my eyes and 'Somebody will know someday' sound terribly good. then you have to buy this album. #blues

Harry Muskee and Johan Derksen in Focal Point 17-04-2011

Johan Derksen, is the strong figure behind this project is. Derksen, who mentored and helped Muskee for decades, has the same qualities as Muskee: stubborn, crossed, straight-in-his-own-sea, a little annoying, but consistently. Album Grolloo Blues (Live) on Spotify
