Grumbling crafts for toddlers and preschoolers
In the theme of the Children's Book of the year, #Moppereend a fun protagonist to tinker. For the youngest, a not too difficult craft is a fun activity. They can paint everything themselves, making their own version of their Mumbling Duck! With their grumbling they can of course also replay the story with each other!
Duck is grumpy. Her pond has dried up, and there's no one who wants to play with her. At least... she does. Because she doesn't want to dig holes with dog. Not with Pig in the mud pool. Don't crow with Rooster. Don't puffs with Turtle. Not a nice bite to eat with Goat. So... no one wants to play with her. And then she is also haunted by a grey cloud that grows darker and bigger over her head.
What kind of cloud was this?
Was it a Somber cloud?
Was it a mourning cloud?
Or would it... was it... a grumbling duck cloud?
Would he always eclipse the sun?
Could he crack?
And with the bursting of the cloud everything will be fine in this story, where you will no doubt laugh. (Or it's time for a cloud break over your head too!)
