Grumbling duck crafts with a kitchen roll
You grumble too? I think we all do that sometimes. In the picture book Muttering duck (Lemniscat) duck is also a bit grumpy. In fact, it's so bad that the cloud over his head is getting bigger and darker.
Ggrumbling duck ( Joyce Dunbar /Petr Horácek) goes from grumpy to extremely cranky. The other animals, who are just trying to cheer her up by asking her to join them, are eventually all lit by the grumpy of duck. Meanwhile, the thundercloud above grumbling duck becomes bigger and bigger until it becomes a 'megantic' black cloud. And what do you get? The place is bursting: rain, dancing animals in the puddles and a rainbow. A nice conclusion: no matter how dark the clouds get, one day it will end.
Below you can see a small, quick craft to make the duckling upright. So it can easily stand, eg. on the themed table in the classroom. Just color, cut and paste and it's already done!

All you need is a kitchen roll, colors like wax crayons, crayons or markers, scissors and glue.
