Guanare Foundation this next November 03, 2021, will be celebrated 431 anniversary of its founding.
It was on November 3, 1591, on the banks of the Guanaguanare River with an official ceremony, which created the city of Espíritu Santo in the San Juan Valley of Guanaguanare, today Guanare.
It was the birthplace of two Presidents of the Republic: Raimundo Andueza Palacio and Victorino Márquez Bustillos.
Among its cultural activities is the irradiation of the Experimental University of Los Llanos occidental. Maintains agro-industrial activities that process corn, tobacco, rice, sesame; silos, storage plants, sugar plant and sawmills.
In 1591 Fernández León, was assigned to found the provinces of Guanaguanare to establish territorial boundaries and conquer spaces that were without population, in order to ensure Hispanic possession.
