#stories Legend has it that the ancient inhabitants of caracas had to offer to the Goddess of the sea and the spirits of nature, from there, what is today caracas could be seen as far as the sea, but so much was the lack of control and the damage caused to nature and the disrespect to the goddess, that she created a huge wave to put an end to everything that existed including man, the inhabitants of the place, when they were surprised that the wave was approaching, and that the Goddess's fury would fall on them, quickly knelt to ask for mercy and forgiveness for their misfortunes and just as the wave would fall on them, to the amazement of all, the huge wave turned into rock, the Goddess had forgiven them and now would remain this mountain, between them and the sea, the Guaraira Repano was created, in the native language, which means, the wave that came from afar, today known as the Avila National Park.
