After having done an excellent remake, we are faced with a very poor sequel turned into a goat.

After the 2007 remake was successful and ranked among the best in the saga, I had good expectations about this sequel as it would be a direct sequel to the events of the original, and hopefully it would be the 1981 remake of Halloween 2.

The film starts cheating on you, making you think you're about to see a remake of the 1981 sequel until it proceeds to do what we were seeing, a dream. And that's when we start badly; then and among other things, Laurie becomes an annoying character with post-traumatic stress, Loomis is now a celebrity and a stupid almost 100%, the identity of Michael Myers is changed and boils down to being a 2-meter vagabond that is bad in the head, and most deaths are very forgetable, because are not well achieved. Although despite this it still gave hope to the film, that it would have a good rise, and that the film would redeem itself in its remaining development.. but this never happens.

In fact, the concept they introduced in this installment is so bad that it's not worth seeing it. Now let's talk about the hallucinations of Michael's mother. The character of the mother in my opinion contributed a lot to the first part, made me feel bad for her and helps to imply that Michael was not always a psychopath, but that he couldn't go back once he became the monster we know... And after a film so raw and shooting realist, but now we have his ghost wandering all over the tape. A pretentious, silly, cheap, out of place and infinitely insurmountable concept.

In general lines the movie is nothing. I found it tedious and I thought I made all the wrong decisions, including the ending. I can't blame the actors because the script they've written for them is a disaster; the plot of the cult of the 4-5-6 sequels were much better executed than this bodrio, and I didn't like it either.

I can appreciate that they have tried to make risky decisions and they tried to make this sequel something original, but when you take all the wrong paths and do the fool of yourself, you realize that the best thing you could have done is to leave when everything was fine and you were considered a champion by many people.
Meanwhile, those of us who like the saga had to eat and digest a sour product that left us bad taste in our mouth.
