After being held for 17 years in a mental institution, Micahel Myers, now a very dangerous adult man, manages to escape from her and returns to Haddonfield. Find her sister and baby. Anyone who crosses his way is in a mortal danger.

This is a modern version and somewhat similar to the classic of the 78. Besides not only paying tribute to him but also worthy to bring new ideas to Michael's origin.

The first part of the film shows Michael Myers as an almost average child, where there is the time to explain the origin of his fury and the loss of his sanity. Although doing sacrifice the mysterious aura of the intimidating killer, but still creates another monster in the process. While it is a generic story, in its process it is very well explained and really reaches the viewer.

The rest of the film is a remake, but not a cheap copy. Take the soundtrack we all know and recreate some scenes from the original, but bringing a good dialogue between the girls, you can see the fluidity in the conversations. We see a less clumsy Michael, and the character of Laurie Strode is much better written and with greater personality. The actress is not as good as Jamie Lee Curtis, but the reality is that this Laurie is cunning and tries to top the killer at every opportunity presented to her; quite different from the original Laurie who did things very naive in an inexplicable way and was never given to “finish the job”.

We can see deaths that surprise a lot, because Michael is usually stealthy and quick to kill, but here he looks more ruthless and much more brutal.
Here Michael looks like a 2-meter titan, where he fits well in this remake and take bon appetit of his physique, served as a way of explaining his superhuman strength without having to allude to a plot of cults. I like the way they emphasize on showing that Michael is completely unfriendly, has no purpose or motivation and lacks every morality.

And the mask I love, it has a good shape very similar to the original. It is an edge version of the original and has some cuts that look unreal, as if someone had done it on purpose to make it look good, and the reality is that they fulfilled, because it looks great and fits perfectly with this version of Michael.

The final sequence closes and ends up being a good product, this being a good remake, this version excels, and they did it smartly, without disrespecting the original.
