Already the Roman patricians had their version of the hamburger, the following historical data about the recipe for the first hamburger come from the gastronomy of the Mongol and Turkish tribes, who in the 14th century already chopped low-quality cattle into strips to make it very edible.

The recipe for minced meat reaches Germany through the Tatars of Russian origin, who eat the meat raw and seasoned with spices. It is known of a similar dish older than the Roman Empire, which consisted of a type of hamburger made with minced beef with pine nuts, salt and past wine, and served inside a bread.
