Handling hand puppets with textile paint and ball tape
Hand puppets are fun material for kids to play with. They can play all kinds of stories with a doll. Or use a hand puppet for a fun reading story. Of course, a puppet show is also a way to depict a fun story.. use your imagination!
These hand puppets can be found at Header Toys . This is a toy wholesaler for education, catering and private individuals. We were allowed to edit these hand puppets. The choice was with textile paint for me because I already had. Textile markers are also possible, but it is a large surface to color, so paint is more economical in use I think.
To paint them, I put a plastic bag with air in the hand puppet.(happened to have packaging air cushions lying out of a sent package) That seemed so handy. Paint always presses, and with plastic does not happen. Due to the bulge of the sky you can easily edit the hand puppet.
With a small hard brush and a softer brush I painted it. It is a somewhat rough surface than eg, paper you paint on. That feels different, but it works very well. The colors are nice skin so that brightens up the hand puppet completely! The black lines on the hand puppet are a good guide to fill in the paint surfaces.
After drying the paint, I took out the air bags. Just fix with an iron and the paint does not go out. The mouth of the hand puppet I decorated with colorful polka band of Trixxcreative. This can be secured with tacky tape (double-sided narrow adhesive tape). Or you glue it with cuddle glue.
