Happy Easter
Easter Challenge
A few days ago I saw the cute easter bunny drawn by @ellesvandenbroek and noted that it was also a good design for the laser cutter. The challenge has been accepted and the result here.
Result
- Pendants (the filling of an ear is cut out) with a colored cord.
- Standing Easter bunny duo on egg feet with hearts on top.
Working method
Read the jpeg file in Lightburn (laser software) and the image “traced” That is, converting the drawn dots structure into vector lines. Those vector lines are needed for the laser cutter to be cut along that line. Enlarge these lines a little bit using the offset function and then place the original image back in them.
After the pendants were made a standing version.
On an ovoid round, two holes made of 27 mm so that the hare can stand straight on it.
The hearts from the original design slightly reduced and placed on them.
In the next batch, an extra edge will be added to the feet so that it slides into the stand.
This shows that it takes multiple adjustments to get to a different type of object.
