When Jolanda hears this from Kalle, she's very happy for Pietje. But also because now prison care is taking shape from the inside. She sees this as a prayer hearing.
In a way, for Pietje the necklace is now broken. Of course she's still trapped for now, but deep down, freedom prevails. With which the comparison with Paul again imposes itself.
