Hearts crafting from straws
Drinking straws, you can drink your drink with it, but you can also make fun crafts with it. It is very nice craft material and is available in so many nice colors, you have to want to craft something with? For example, by cutting the straws into pieces, and stringing them like beads. We used paper straws, of course, because they are a little better for the environment, but with the plastic straws it can also. Even a little better, because plastic really jumps back in the original roundness after cutting.
Inspired by the super fun Craft Idea from Crea with Kids (pasta heart stringing ) we came up here to string straws instead of. Painted paste to do. And that's fine to do! Before we knew it we had already made 6 hearts here in no time. Below you can see how it goes super fast:
Necessary for 1 heart: 12 pieces of straw, 30cm binding wire (iron wire), clog of self-drying clay, scissors, and cutters
Cut the straws into small pieces (approx.. 1,5cm e.g.)
Thread them to the wire, tie it in the round and let the stick stick stick down on one side longer.
