Herbal medicine
The name phytotherapy or herbal medicine is to treat health complaints or diseases with plant means. Phytotherapy comes from the Greek “phyton” which means plant and from “therapein” which means healing and is as old as man himself.
For centuries, people use medicinal plants and herbs for their health. In ancient societies, shamans, herbalists, medicine men took care of the health of their members, often accompanied by rituals and prayers. Today, this natural medicine has become a modern herbal medicine. Using high-tech methods, the ingredients are extracted from plants and herbs. The composition and action of the ingredients of plants and herbs is obsolete and proven by clinical studies at the most famous universities. Just as nature strives for balance and harmony, so do phytotherapy and aromatherapy work on man. Treatment of health complaints is done by restoring the patient's balance, returning health.
Phytotherapy and aromatherapy have many advantages where the most striking is their safe yet efficient operation without many side effects or side effects. In addition, many phytotherapeutic products can be used preventively. “Better prevention than cure!” A strong slogan for the weak in society (children and the elderly) but also for the sportsmen. Nevertheless, plants and herbal extracts can be toxic. Hence, the most convenient place to safely purchase these products is the pharmacy (natural medicines and dietary supplements).

Phytotherapy vs homeopathy
One of the differences between phytotherapy and homeopathy is that phytotherapy is based on the bioavailability of plant ingredients and homeopathy with their 'energetic print'. Homeopathy uses highly diluted substances, in which almost no molecules can be found. Phytotherapy uses those active substances.
Homeopathy has the premise that 'the equal with the equal must be fought, in order to activate the self-healing capacity of the body'. For this, plant means are used, as well as means of mineral or animal origin. These are then diluted in such a way, until there are often no traceable active substances left.
