High distraction factor
Last night I signed up (again) with Yoors and I already notice that, like many social media, it has a very high distraction factor! 😉
Is that bad? Well, no, not in itself... But yes, despite the fact that thanks to the Coronovirus I don't have a lot to do, there's plenty to do. I'm busy working on my website “MaritsBooks”, which I still have to transfer from a free host to a paid one. By making my first two books ready to print, publishing both books in the form of e-books (for which I'm going to use three different partners because they each have their own advantages and possibilities) and of course completing my third book and this one for print and e- book preparation.
- blinkers
So I need a set of digital blinkers. That means that I will deliberately close the page on which Yoors is located. Otherwise I will continue to read, click through, follow and respond 😜. Just like I do with Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram. Oh yes, and with Socializen, of which I joined yesterday following a post here.
So these digital blinkers are really needed. Because except that I need to continue (read WANT!) with my books and everything that goes with it, I also started a project in our front yard. That was a terrace with a nasty fence as a partition with the sidewalk. A thorn in my eye from the beginning we lived here. Here again thanks to the Coronavirus found the time and courage to work with it. I got new tiles for free to make a path, the hedge has now been hidden above the ground until a short while, but there is still a lot to be done. Out old cobbles, leveling, new tiles in and then the construction of a rock garden (for which I will use the old cobbles) 😵.
Man, dog and house
Don't think I'm there. With my books “sores” 😁 and my garden. I'm married, I have a dog and, of course, a house. And all three of them need attention to some extent 😎.
