Holidays (part 4)

Thursday, September 24th.

Because the weather had been so bad we had 3 busy holiday days behind us and decided to take a rest day. Also to build up the car and pack some stuff, because the next day at 11:00 we would be expected to drive more than one hour in the University Cliniek voor Gezelschapsdieren in Utrecht.

In preparation for the holiday we always say to our parrots; so many nights sleep and then we go on vacation to Bollo. Especially Lex needs a lot of preparation. We used to do that nothing and has sometimes made sure that he thought we were going home, but we went back to the cottage. To avoid misunderstandings we are always talking about Bollo, but Bollo we hadn't seen this week, so we all went to Bollo. Of course to take a picture with it, which has become a ritual that is recurring every year.

Afterwards with all his in the restaurant went to lunch. We had an evening wanted to eat, but partly because of the corona measures on the park there was no possibility for inside for us a little normal dinner times. The lunch was delicious and cozy and the staff were amazed at how well our parrots behave. I did mention it in the online reservation, but they couldn't imagine it. One of the employees mentioned that he had seen something like that on TV a few months ago. So that turned out to be us at Gordon in Wonderland, but we didn't know it was broadcast again and maybe stated that we had already been recognized several times earlier this week, because the recording was already over 2 years ago.

On arrival Monday at the park we had received a letter that on Thursday between 18:30 and 21:00 they would do fire brigade and bhv exercises around the pond on the park. We did not know what we had to imagine, so we just went to look and had a wonderful evening walk. Especially Lex loved it and was just cool. I think he'll join the fire department later;)

And then it's almost there on our delicious midweek. We had wonderful weather and enjoyed plenty.
