Last summer, during our road trip through the Baltic States, a lady from Latvia gave me two jars of pine buds syrup in it.She made it clear with her hands and feet that she had made this syrup herself and that we had to use it later in the year when it was cold and we had sore throats.Simply take with a spoon or put a spoon of this syrup in a cup of tea and then take it like that. These are the two jars we got:

This picture looks a little less in terms of palatability (I think) but that's because I took this picture with the flash on the on mode so that you can clearly see the pine buds that were used to make this syrup.

In reality, it is a liquid and brightly colored syrup. Now I have to confess: Although I have had a really huge sore throat for a few days, I did not dare to open a jar and take a spoon. My love had already told me a few times that I should just try, but I kept making up an excuse.Today I wanted to go to the open consultation hours of the general practitioner but I was late and so I was sitting with a throbbing throat in front of the jars wondering why I didn't just try it.Somewhere in the back of my mind was the idea that the lady had told me that taking tea was a good idea because of the bitter taste.
