Hommelus vs je hebt een blauw hart voor alles of je hebt het niet.....
Vanmiddag heb ik je ontdekt. Je zit, kruipt of ligt naast mijn opblaasbare zwembadje. Je geelzwarte kleuren, lijkend op een operationeel politie-uniform, trekken meteen mijn aandacht. Ook al ben ik gepensioneerd, ik heb nog steeds een blauw hart en in mijn bloedbanen staat geschreven; “hulp verlenen aan hen die deze behoeven".
Ik kan niet met je communiceren. Maar jouw lichaamstaal spreek boekdelen. Hongerklop als een fietsenrenner die al kilometers in het diepe rood zwalkend voortbeweegt en tenslotte van uitputting van zijn fiets is gevallen, net niet het ravijn in. Maar wel bijna rip in de fauna wereld, maar neg niet helemaal.
Ik wek je fors uit je hommel-coma, met mijn bladblazer. Tenslotte moet het terras gekuist worden. Ik slalom om je heen en zorg er behoedzaam voor dat je niet in de maalstroom van geperste uitgeademde mechanische lucht terecht komt om erin te verzwelgen.
Ondertussen vind ik je zielig en heb met je te doen. Ik krijg dan plots een fantasie in mijn hoofd van iemand met de grootst mogelijke voorstelbare dorst in een woestijn op weg naar een oase die een tergende fata Morgane blijkt te zijn. En dus weer geen uitzicht op verkoeling en inneembare vloeistoffen. Slechts én alleen maar droogte onder een verzengende ondraagbare hitte. Je kunt niet meer functioneren, je organen dreigen er mee re stoppen en mummificatie ligt op de loer.
Dan bedenk ik me plots dat in dergelijke gevallen suikerwater zou kunnen helpen om lijf en ledematen weer aan de gang te krijgen. Mijn wake up call plaats ik bij mijn eigen life coach die mij op een schoteltje de gevraagde supervloeistoffen aanlevert.
Hommelus zo noem ik je vanaf nu, lieve bij-achtige, plaats ik op het schoteltje. Mét je trechter mondje begin je meteen met het opzuigen van jouw noodrantsoen in optima forma. Je lijkt op een miereneter (zie video) en gelijkmatig hevel jij al dit lekkers naar binnen.
De water-suiker oplossing is kennelijk een wondermiddel want na korte tijd klim je van het schoteltje af en gaat rustig verpozen. Want genoeg gedronken is genoeg. Ik plaats je opnieuw op het schoteltje, want er is nog fors over. Jij weigert en laat mij zien dat je dankbaar beng. Je klimt over mijn handen, zachtjes en teder. Je lijkt wel dankbaar vóór deze geste. Ik aai jou met mijn wijsvinger over je rug, wat je kennelijk aangenaam vindt. Je schrikt niet en ondergaat mijn aanraking vol vertrouwen en laat dit rustig gebeuren.
Hommelus ik ben oprecht blij vóór jou. Ik plaats je eventjes in de luwte in de schaduwzijde onder een heus flora parasolletje. De vogels rondom tjilpen naar hun jongen in de nestjes oftewel controle op afstand. Met je twee voorpoten begin je te oefenen Hommelus, over je hoofd naar beneden opnieuw en opnieuw. Je heft je lijfje op. Na nog een korte power Nap zie ik dag je uitgevlogen bent als een jong nestvogeltje. Op zoek naar nog meer honing en bestuivingen.
Ik lees dat jij veel sneller kunt bestuiven dan je familielid de bij, ooit zou kunnen.
Krachtpatser, ik wens je hef allerbeste. Mocht je weer uitgepuft raken, kom dan maar langs in onze tuin.
Ik weet nu waar ik op moet letten. Vooral je geelzwarte contouren en krachtige lijf zal ik pertinent blijven herinneren

Why are bumblebees so woolly?
