to the coast.
At the beginning of August, I spent a few days on vacation in Leimuiden with my mother. And on the last afternoon, she wanted to go to the Hondsbossche Seawall. Was only a little bit to go home. I had seen something about it at the Inside Out, but had no idea what to imagine.
Well, I found it really special there. Behind the dike is a true bird paradise “de Putten”. There you really need binoculars and we didn't have them.
But there is also plenty to see on the dike.
Get off the shoes and get on the beach.
The sun was at a nice point around half past 5. So I did some experiments with that.
We took the bikes off the car for a while to get to the birdwatching hut a little faster before it got too dark. For example, the telephoto lens of my mother's camera allowed me to get the clots a little closer. There were two that were brushing heavily. Most photos have their crooked beak hidden under their plumage. So I was happy with these pictures. I had to shoot a bit through the reeds, hence the dashes through the image.
Time for the inner man.
The stomachs started to grub a bit, so we went towards Schoorl in the hope of being able to eat something there.
