Hose made of crown corks
Save and collect caps to make a cool snake!
From now on, you don't throw away caps from the glass bottles of beer and soda, if you've seen this snake. It's so nice for kids (and even adults too) to string the caps to make it a cool rattling snake! Also making the holes in the metal caps is a fun job for cool kids. With a sharp nail and a hammer you carefully carpen a beautiful hole in each crown cap.
Crown caps?
In 1889, the crown cap was invented by William Painter and he patented it. A very handy invention! Crown caps zijn natuurlijk geen echte kurken zoals jij ze kent, maar het dopje heeft door zijn inkepingen het uiterlijk van een kroontje. Hence the name crown cap, because the inside is often covered with cork. The crown caps are very strong because of the notches on the edge and therefore very suitable for bottles where e.g.. carbonic acid in it!
