It's a universally expected fact of life that hospital food sucks, but I assure you that Macedonian hospital food is a whole other level of disgust.

You would have to be lucky to get this much food for breakfast, cause the usual breakfast in Macedonian hospitals is tea with a loaf of bread, sometimes they serve dry pastries with as little filling as possible. They are just that generous. If you are lactose-intolerant, good luck asking for something that isn't dairy cause otherwise you would go hungry.

For lunch, we usually get cooked rice with the dryest chicken leg you have ever tasted, the mashed potatoes are salted to the extreme and we get a lot of stews that are just too oily for my taste.

You are probably wondering what is for dinner. The same as breakfast, except for dinner they usually give out yogurt and a loaf of bread, of course sometimes they run out of yogurt so you are left with a delicious stale loaf of bread. Yummy, bon appetite!
