How are you supposed to cover books?
When you go to high school, you often get to borrow books from school. You have to buy them and then resell them to others. In any case, you need to handle your books neatly so that they do not damage too much. The best way to protect your books is to cover them. That is, fold a piece of solid paper around it, so that it protects the book from dirt, scratches and creases.
These cover can be done with different materials. The most commonly used is solid cover paper or cabinet paper. This is extra strong paper with often still a plastic layer against moisture. It is available in different colours and designs. For example, there is also transparent cover foil, so you can see which book is concerned.
Other materials can also act as cover paper! Please note, the thinner the paper, the less protection it gives! Think wrapping paper, decorative gift paper, newsprint, paper bags, bags, posters, wallpaper, large drawings, old building drawings, magazines, brown wrapping paper, etc. Also, it does not necessarily have to be paper. Fabric (cotton, jeans) or plastic can serve as a book cover.
