How did you experience Christmas?
To fall with the door into the house...
Not so good...The whole run up to Christmaswas very cozy and fun.Christmas Eve certainly, too.
Your best foot forward. Cozy with Friend and Mother watching TV and good food and drinks in between the Christmas lights. Then comes Christmas Day, that's going to happen first. Outside, it's wet, harsh and cold. The TV's on all day. In the course of the afternoon it gets a bit annoying. Outside, still rotting weather, my mood's getting worse. It's early evening. I feel lazy, lazy and gloomy. Late in the cold one more time in the evening to walk the dog. Absolutely reluctantly. Once outside, I get some good up. It's actually not that cold at all and yet nice, fresh air, take a breath, away from the obligatory cosiness.
Christmas Day is on the way. “Shit, again such a day and then there will also be a third Sunday after”, were about my first thoughts. We're almost arguing who's allowed to walk the dog, well, so to speak. An extra round of walking this afternoon. Wonderful to be outside! Beautiful weather, I call it now. Well, it's not so bad. It's what you make of it. We got it right. Too good, actually. So good that we're just gonna whine about it, just like I am right now. Gradually one learns, apparently. And now on my way to Christmas Day. I got it in me, I can do it! This day is not going to be ruined!

Hoe heb ik de kerst ervaren?
26 December, er is maar 1 kerstdag in de meeste landen, begonnen met tegels leggen, de helft gedaan, verder kan niet want ik moet door die ruimte lopen, vandaag verder.
De buurvrouw kwam wat "restjes" brengen kool natuurlijk, maar ook lekkere soorten brood, een heel groot bord rijstpudding met veel kaneel, en een typisch Portugees gebak/brood. Het is een gortdroog brood versierd met veel gesuikerde en gedroogde vruchten erop, blijft weken of misschien wel maanden goed.
Prachtig weer beide dagen maar met koude nachten, kachel doet het prima en het huis blijft goed warm.
Dus ik ben tevreden.
ach weer wat geleerd zullen we maar zeggen. Morgen gaan we hier de kerstspullen opruimen maandag gaat de bank eruit en moet Fred de muren een kleurtje geven. Nou joh maak er een gezellige dag van morgen!!
