How do I cut my rabbit's nails?
The nails of your rabbit how to not cut in principle. Rabbits dig, tossing, scribble and hopping on a hard surface. Usually the nails wear out by themselves. If they are too long, because the rabbit has too little movement, you can still cut them yourself.
With a nail cutter cut the nail to about 0.5cm under the blood vessels. You can see those blood vessels by the pink color. With pigmentless nails, you can see that transition better than nails that are colored. Cut carefully, but that makes sense. The nail can accidentally break or you can cut into living tissue. Very rotten and painful for the rabbit, you don't want that. If it does, it could bleed heavily, but it's not life-threatening.
