How does a podcasts work?

What then do podcasts have so that people who follow them are such a fan of them? What is the secret of this format?

And why, both in my case and that of many other people, do they spend even more hours on podcasts than video?

The major advantages that differentiate them over more traditional audio media, such as radio, are, above all, three:
