How is cauliflower harvested from the field?

Too often, we still think that machines do all the work these days.
Of course, machines make work easier and do indeed take over a lot of work, or make it faster. But still.
If you, like me, live in the countryside, you'll see that it really still involves a lot of working hands.
Now take cauliflowers.
Just a few weeks ago, dozens of people walked through the field to crack the leaves over the ripening coals. If you want to keep the cauliflower white, you should cover the cabbage itself with leaves.
This is done manually.
Hands that carefully crack the inner leaves to cover the cabbage.
Today, we are harvesting.
Here, too, hands come into play. Hands that work with the machines.
This is because each cauliflower is cut from the plant by hand. The rest is partly tire and machine work.
They start before it gets light, occasionally take a break for half an hour, and keep going.
