Fish

Fish is a type of delicate refrigeration food since its decomposition is much faster than that of meat or sausages. Refrigeration is essential to keep fish fresh.

At suitable refrigeration and freezing temperature, bacteria stop multiplying and the decomposition process is delayed. The most advisable thing is to freeze the fish at a temperature of 0 to -5º C since it can last up to 6 months frozen if it is lean, from 2 to 3 if it is fatty and from 4 to 6 if it is already cooked.

The storage time varies depending on the type of fish it is, so it is recommended to do it like this:

-Lean fish: In the freezer, they last between 6 and 8 months, while in the refrigerator they keep a maximum of 2 days.

-Oily fish: They can last 1 or 2 days in the refrigerator and in the freezer for 2 to 3 months.
