How Long Does Food Last In The Fridge & Freezer? Part II
The blog above is the first part of this blog if you want to take a look. Now, let's continue with the second part :)
Fish
At suitable refrigeration and freezing temperature, bacteria stop multiplying and the decomposition process is delayed. The most advisable thing is to freeze the fish at a temperature of 0 to -5º C since it can last up to 6 months frozen if it is lean, from 2 to 3 if it is fatty and from 4 to 6 if it is already cooked.
The storage time varies depending on the type of fish it is, so it is recommended to do it like this:
-Lean fish: In the freezer, they last between 6 and 8 months, while in the refrigerator they keep a maximum of 2 days.
-Oily fish: They can last 1 or 2 days in the refrigerator and in the freezer for 2 to 3 months.
