People's curiosity about extraterrestrial planets is growing day by day. It is only a matter of time before people move to a different planet due to the increasing advancement of technology.
Among the extraterrestrial planets, astronomers are most interested in Mars. Because it is thought that life exists only on Mars outside of Earth. At present, it takes about 9 months for a spacecraft to reach Mars, which is millions of miles away.
But perhaps a great good news for space lovers.
A new study by a group of California physicists has found that using the power of light technology can significantly reduce travel time to Mars. According to these physicists, using light technology, it is possible to reduce the duration of a trip to Mars from a year to just a few days. Maybe in just 3 days.
This team of California physicists has been working on the possibility of using technology to get to Mars in less time and faster than at present.
The results of this study show that it will be possible to move the spacecraft much faster using laser light techniques.
Although the technology team started working with very small goals, the results of this study could one day inspire the construction of a much faster spacecraft for faster travel to Mars.
Professor Philip Lubin and his team at the University of California, Santa Barbara are working on an energy galactic precursor (dip-in) program.
The goal of the program is to reach the relative speed of the spacecraft to travel to the nearest stars of the earth, so that it can be reached in a very short time.
Relative speed is a significant part of the speed of light.
Professor Lubin said in a symposium on NASA's National Innovative Advanced Ideas, "We knew how to get the relative speed of the lab, and we always did."
"When we went to the macroscopic level, we saw how low the speed of vehicles like planes, cars, spaceships was," he said.
Professor Lubin has used this photonic technology to create a link between small and large vehicles. This technology is very simple because here the photon particles emitted from a laser beam are used to propel the spacecraft.
All spacecraft usually run upwards by scattering fire in the opposite direction.
But traditionally this method makes the spacecraft much heavier and slower.
In photonic technology, the spacecraft is powered by laser light instead of any fossil fuel. As a result, no mass is added to the spacecraft and thus the speed of the spacecraft is not reduced.
This speeds up the spacecraft and enables it to reach higher speeds.
This theory will help to get the relative speed of the aircraft.
Professor Lubin did not specify the ratio of the speed of light in this photonic technology, although he did suggest that light in technology could be up to one-fourth.
Professor Lubin, referring to NASA's Space Launch System (SLS), said: "We are going to launch a 100 kg aircraft on Mars in a few days, which I believe will reach there in about a month."
Another project of NASA's 'Engine without Fuel' is 'EM Drive'. This fuel less engine can take people to Mars in just 10 weeks. The so-called E.M. The drive generates a lot of lightning through the microwave and uses only solar energy. But NASA's photonic technology will be able to take a 100 kg spacecraft to Mars in just a few days.
Last November, NASA conducted the first test of photonic technology and announced that the effectiveness of this future spacecraft had already been proven.
The idea is that humans will be able to travel through space at ten times the speed of light.
