How many people live in the world?

Population around the world is presently growing with a rate of about 1.05 percent which is less than the past years. The present average population rise is projected to be about 81 million individuals per year. The yearly increase rate had its peak in the late 1960s. That time it was about 2%. Furthermore, the increase rate is about halved from then and will keep on declining in coming years. The world population keeps on increasing in the 21st century, though at a slower rate unlike in past years.
