Humans have little idea how many galaxies there are in the cosmos. Astronomers believe there might be an endless number of galaxies in the universe. The Milky Way galaxy is thought to include roughly 100 billion planets, most of which circle a star. In recent years, astronomers have found hundreds of planets in our galaxy, some of which have Earth-like properties. The sun, eight planets and their moons, plus many tiny solar system entities make up our solar system.

Following are the planets in our solar system-

Mercury

Mercury is the nearest planet to the sun. It is also our solar system's tiniest planet. In 88 days, Mercury completes a full round around the sun. It's a rocky planet with a 1,516-mile equatorial radius. Mercury, strangely enough, lacks an atmosphere. This implies that the temperature on Mercury may range from 840 degrees Fahrenheit during the day to - 275 degrees Fahrenheit at night!

Venus

Venus is the planet that is nearest to the sun. Venus has the distinction of being the sun's hottest planet. The Temperature on Venus is 863 degrees Fahrenheit . Venus's atmosphere is thick, trapping heated air inside it. Earth's nearest neighbor is Venus.

Earth

Only Earth has been found to have life on it thus far. Every 365.256 days, it completes one revolution around the sun. It is the third closest planet to the sun, at a distance of 92,955,820 miles. Earth's creation is thought to have started 4.54 billion years ago. It has a total surface area of 196,940,000 square miles, with water covering 71% and land covering the remaining 29%.
