How many seconds are in a year?

The second (symbol: s, also abbreviated: sec) is refers to as the base unit of time in the International System of Units (SI) (French: Système International d’unités), commonly understood and historically defined as 1⁄86400 of a day this factor derived from the division of the day first into 24 hours, then to 60 minutes and finally to 60 seconds each. Analog clocks and watches often have sixty tick marks on their faces, representing seconds (and minutes), and a "second hand" to mark the passage of time in seconds.

A year is refers to as the orbital period of a planetary body, for example, the Earth, moving in its orbit around the Sun. Due to the Earth's axial tilt, the course of a year sees the passing of the seasons, marked by change in weather, the hours of daylight, and, consequently, vegetation and soil fertility.

To convert from Seconds to a year, we start calculating from seconds to minute, from seconds to hour, from seconds to days, from seconds to weeks, and finally from seconds to year.

60 minutes = 1 hour = 3600 seconds
So, 1 hour = 3600 seconds
24 hours (a day) = 3600 × 24 = 86,400 seconds
1 day = 86,400 seconds

= 86,400 × 7 = 604,800 seconds
Then for a year, let me use 365 days:
1 day = 86,400 seconds
365 days = 86,400 × 365 = 31536000 seconds
Each individual breathes over 3 million seconds in a year! Quite stunning. What of 80-year olds, they've breathed 80 × 3153600 seconds. Hence, if you want to know the number of seconds you've breathed since you were born or marking a red-letter day or celebration, multiply 31536000 times the number of years.

So, if I'm 16, that shows I've breathed 16 × 31536000 = 50, 4576000.
