According to health experts, you must drink 8 ounces of water a day. This is equivalent to 2 literals or half a gallon. This is also widely known as the 8x8 rule. Different health experts have different opinions about drinking water, but the common thing is that you must keep sipping water throughout the day, even when you do not feel thirsty.

Factors Responsible

It is nothing new to know that our body constitutes 60% of water. So, no matter what region you live in, your age, diet, or profession, you must at least drink 2 liters of water every day. However, a few factors determine if 2 liters is really sufficient for you o not.

· Your Region

If you live in a hot, humid, and dry region, your water intake must be more than 8 ounces for the proper functioning of the body.

· Your Diet

If your caffeine intake is more than regular, that is, if you drink more tea and coffee, you are more likely to lose water through urination. In such a case, you need to drink more water than usual.

· Temperature

In warmer seasons, perspiration is more, and thus, your water intake must be increased in summers than in winters.
