The first women vice president and highest-ranking women official of America, Kamala Harris, has made history. She has been actively participating in American politics since 2004. From 2004 to 2011, she served as the 287th district attorney of Sa Francisco.

Later till 2017, she was the 27th Attorney general of California, then she assist as US Senator from California till 2021. In August 2021, Joe Biden, the current US president, nominated her as her running mate for the position of vice president. And In January 2021, finally, Joe Biden defeated the then-president Donald Trump in general elections, and Kamala and Joe resumed their positions.

Kamala is an inspiration for many women out there. She had to face many discriminations in past being an Asian American. She fights against sexual and women assaults, reform healthcare sectors in the US, help undocumented immigrants to settle down.

Kamala Devi Harris was born on October 20, 1964, in Oakland, California. Her father, Donald J Harris, was a Jamaican, while her mother, Shyamala Gopalan, was an Indian. Kamala is 57 years old.

With an exceptional start of her career in 1989, Kamala focused on prosecuting sex crimes initially in her career. She later became an attorney of managing attorney of the criminal unit in San Francisco in 2000. Later, her political career kicked off in 2004.
