What is Stimulus check?
This is a check sent by US government to the taxpayers to improve and strengthen the economy by boosting the spending power of the consumers and alleviating pain and hardship.

Do you know that the first round of stimulus check was authorized by the CARES Act on 27th March, 2020?

Do you also know that the second round of stimulus check was signed into law on 27th December, 2021?

I hope you have been receiving your own payment? Why not?

How is the stimulus check sent
The stimulus check is often sent through electronic mails to appropriate taxpayers.

Taxpayers who pay jointly recieve twice higher amount than taxpayers who file singly.

How to be eligible for stimulus check

1. You are qualified to get stimulus
check if you are a federal beneficiary; you receive social security payment, SSI and SSDI or you are a retired railroad workers. A US citizen and non citizen spouse are eligible in so far as they recieve social security.

All beneficiaries who has dependents in their household are advised to file the names of such dependants so they can get their own share of stimulus checks.

In CARES Act from last March, mixed household - citizen children and none citizen parents were not eligible.

However, new stimulus bill recognized mixed household. It made provisions for citizen children and none citizen parents, are eligible for stimulus check.

2. An individual with adjusted gross income of $80,000 is qualify for stimulus check.

3. Prisoners  are qualified to recieve stimulus check up to $1200. This was approved by National Judge. Inmates are mandated to file an online claim with IRS.

4. Homeless people who do not have their own homes according to IRS may get their stimulus check. So if you're poor, underserved and in a rural area, stimulus check could be for you. 

 First and foremost  open a bank account with a low-cost bank. Then file tax return via a computer or a smart phone and submit your account routing number during the filing.

5. IRS provide support programs like counseling for Elderly and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance.

This is available for anyone with $57,000 or less in income and anyone with disabilities and poor English speaking background.

6. IRS made it clear that payment made to a loved one who is dead before issuance of receipt should be returned back to the authority.
