
Cook rice using a rice cooker or steamer. Cook rice immediately after it is harvested from the garden. Or, cook it as soon as you can. Use a rice cooker if you like your cooking time to be more uniform - that is when one minute is the correct rice drying time and the other minute is the exact rice baking time.

Place cubed tofu on a cutting board and cut into one-inch chunks. Wrap tofu in wet towels to gently squeeze as much excess water out as you can. Continue to stir your Instant Pot rice cooker until the sides are tender but not cooked through (no brown stains). When your sides are brown, turn your Instant Pot off and remove it from heat. Let the Instant Pot cool down for about twenty minutes.
Your next step is to check for doneness. You can tell when it is done by looking at a few drops of water in the container. When the water drips out, that means your rice is cooked. Using a digital multi-level digital rice cooker, measure out your grains, then cut them into 2-inch pieces. With the food measuring spoon, fill the Instant Pot with enough water to fully cover your grains.
Cover the bottom of your Instant Pot with a thin piece of aluminum foil. This will help you avoid burning when you stir the rice dish. Then, put the lid on your stovetop rice cooker. Allow your Instant Pot to bring the water to a boil. Allow the lid to remain on for about five minutes so the heat can dissipate.
After waiting five minutes, flip your Instant Pot lid and continue to cook your rice in its steamer. During the cooking process, your Instant Pot will rotate on its axis. This means you will need to move the Instant Pot around periodically to ensure even cooking throughout.
If you find that your Instant Pot is not staying still or moving around too much, you may need to make a few more adjustments. Once your rice has reached the desired consistency, please remove it from the heat and allow it to cool down for a couple of minutes.
At this point, you are ready to serve your delicious rice. As an alternative to adding soy sauce, which is very expensive, you can always use your low-sodium soy sauce. The great thing about using low-sodium soy sauce is that you can adjust the sodium content to what you prefer. Traditional low-sodium soy sauce has a robust flavor, while more recently introduced low-sodium varieties have a subtle flavor.
Either way, you will be pleased with the rich taste of your Instant Pot cooking rice dishes. To save time and money, you can also make your rice pudding, another easy dessert to enjoy when you are in a pinch.
