Idea stage
Going from the idea stage to this crochet pattern took me longer than any other crochet blanket I've designed - I wanted to make sure everything worked correctly. I started working on a blanket for myself (between deadlines and other projects) for those moments when I just wanted to crochet - without thinking - without worrying about these deadlines, the world and everything else that pops up in my head. I didn't know anyone who crochet, so I just copied my mom's technique, which is very similar to how you throw your yarn into knitting, so pure crochet looks very weird.
